Liberation

  The sun rises from the trees and begins to illuminates the dark Earth. Footsteps crossing the tall grass. In the dark sunrise, silhouettes walking together, making their ways to their destinations. You can see in their hands, guns, swords, axes, and so on.

  "Are we there yet?" Says one of them.

  "Not yet...we're close."

  "But I'm so ready to kill something!"

  "We will until we get there. Now be patient."

  "We're all ready and pumped for this."

  "Today's the day we give these Nekos the freedom they wished and deserved...and we're gonna give it to them."

  "Hell yeah."

  The man leading the group was a Navy Seal Captain that goes by the name Rubik Hopkins. He wore a black hat, carrying a M16A2, with a shotgun attachment. On his side he had a sharpened tomahawk. Next to his left was his good friend, Luis. He brought with him his buster that came with multiple gadgets and weapons to kill his enemies. He was getting pumped and ready to fight. And to his right was another good friend of Rubik's Storm. Carrying a assault rifle bullpup and a his plasma ninjato, and by his side was his love, Carri Ford, with a Semi auto AR with a ACOG, scope. There was also Aoi, although blind, she can still be able to fight with her dual hookswords, along with her sister Shinju.

  Coming up was the GRA leader Arlena, armed with a sniper rifle and grenade launcher. Then there was the assassin bearer S. Carrying a Bowie knife and a crossbow with explosive rounds. More came up behind the group: Luther, Kate, Mel, Jacki, Julie, Josh, Luther, Matthew, Anthony, Caroline, Veronica,and Dayna. Twenty fighters, all ready to fight.

  "Today we do our part to release these poor nekos, anthros, and bearers. And as we all know...our love ones have been captured too." Rubik said to the group. "We're also here to find and kill Vincent. We believe that he's in this facility. So now this is our chance to kill him."

  "At last." Said Carri. "I can't wait to put a bullet in that bastard's head."
  "He's cause a lot of pain and agony." Added Aoi.
  "And he must pay for it with blood." Stated Mel, finishing up the sentence.

  "Okay....here's the plan." Rubik spoke out. "We have four snipers: Arlena, Matthew, Luther, and Kate. All four of you will find your spots and snipe out any bad guys. You guys will fire first. Then, Storm and I will take seven soldiers each and I go to the South entrance, while you Storm, take your soldiers and move the the East entrance. Got it?" Everyone nodded their heads in agreement.

  They arrive at the labor camp. It was bigger than any other. Housed about 3,000 nekos, anthros, and bearers. "Bloody hell." Said Jacki with her eyes looking so surprised. "They kept THAT many prisoners here?"
  "Yeah." Said Arlena. "That's where they got...Jurgen..."
  "And Anna..." Interrupted Shinju.
  "And Lily..." Added Rubik. "I promised her I would protect her..."
  "Don't blame yourself..." Said Storm. "We're gonna rescue her, Anna and Jurgen."

  Rubik nods and looks at his watch. "It's almost time. Everyone get in position!" The fighters takes their spots and gets their weapons ready for the battle. Luther and Matthew takes one side of the camp far away, while Arlena and Kate takes the other side. Rubik's team goes to East entrance and Storm takes the South. They quietly and slowly move to their destination, taking their time to keep themselves from getting caught.

  The camp was active, workers mining in their prisoners suit. A tamer roaming around the grounds, keeping an eye on the prisoners, and intimidating them to make sure they're working and not talking to each other. Often a prisoner gets pulled away for not doing their work right and gets taken away to who knows where. Maybe to be punished? Tortured? Killed? Then at 6:00 A.M., a recorded voice on the intercom speaks about how he thinks he's saving the world, but everyone knows he's making things worse. Rubik waited for this perfect time.

  Around that time, both Storm and Rubik places charges on the doors and told everyone to back away. Both pulls out a trigger and blows up the walls. The blast killed the guards that were standing in front of the wall. Their skulls crushed by the rubble, and the group starts the battle. The prisoners were taken in their bunkers for safety, and were locked in their. It was cramped and hot inside.

  Back outside, the groups started to charge in the facility. The snipers sees any O-5 soldiers that are in the open and takes the opportunity to fire. Arlena looks through the scope and there she sees her husband locked up. "Don't worry, my love." She said to herself. "I'll get you out of here." She throws down her sniper and goes into battle. Rubik shoots down his targets while looking for cover and finds a good hiding place. Soldiers rushes to his position but was stopped when Luis came out and sets them on fire with his buster. The soldiers rolled on the floor, trying to extinguish the flames but Luis cooked them too much for them to get put the fire out in time.

  Julie dodging and fires her pistols at the O-5 soldiers, then was attacked by a moving tamer. She falls to the ground, all sore from the charge, as the walking tank comes to try and finish her off. Suddenly, the tamer gets hit in the face and falls. "Ah...S..." She said, still injured. S, offers her a hand and Julie accepts it. "A true gentleman you are, lad." S smiles but abruptly stopped when the bullets came after them. Pass them, Carri takes cover, reloading her rifle. Then as a group came to hunt them down, she grips the rifle like a bat, swings it and hits one of the soldiers in the face, and ends them with a bullet to the head. The other two sees her as they turn their backs and aims their guns at her, but then were cut down by Aoi and Shinju. Carri gives them a thumbs up and continues on with the battle.
 
  Inside the prison, Lily wakes up to the sound of gunfire and takes a look outside. She can see the assault going on, as she can see Storm and Carri fighting the enemies and from the corner of her eye, she sees Rubik, striking down the enemy with his tomahawk. "Mum...Father..." She said talking to herself. "...Rubik...I knew ye would come and save me. Ye never gave up hope, and I can't either. Better find a way out of here.

  Mel and Caroline fires from the bunkers that were empty while Veronica tends to Anthony's wounds. Outside a Omega-5 pyro is next the the bunker, aiming his flamethrower to set the entire inside of the bunker in flames. As Luther sees through his scope, he quickly takes aim and shoots the tank of the flamethrower. The pyro reaches behind to take off the tank but he couldn't reach. It starts to leak and the entire tank explodes, and instantly kills him.

  Rubik and Jacki makes it to the entrance of the first prison and gets themselves ready.
"Ye ready for this?" Ask Jacki. "I am." answered Rubik. They both break down the door and Jacki uses her magic on the soldiers to levitate them as Rubik shoots down each one in the air and they all drop to the floor.  In the prisons, the prisoners, especially Jurgen cheers the group on to set them free. The soldiers tells the prisoners to settle down but they wouldn't listen. Behind this, Lily sees the keys hanging from the guards pockets. Seeing it as a opportunity, she pops her claws and slowly reaches for the keys, and picks them off the soldiers pockets. Then, the guard turns around and sees her with the keys in her hand.
 
  "Heh...so you want to get out huh?" Said the soldier, smiling. "Okay. Let's go then!" He quickly unlocks her cells and grabs her by the hair, and an arm to her back. "Ack! Let go of me!" demanded Lily. "You bastard!" Her arm starts to hurt more. "Shut it, girl!" The soldier yelled at her. Jurgen looks back and says "You're gonna be so dead, my friend." The soldier turns around and says "You're next ass wipe!" He turns away and leaves to deal with Lily

  Outside, the battle still rages on, with Omega-5 losing more moral. Arlena charges in with a grenade launcher in hand and fires a single grenade at a group of soldiers, and kills them instantly. She makes her way in the prison to find Jurgen. Meanwhile, S is dealing with another Tamer, and as it looked like the juggernaut had the upper hand, Josh comes in and attacks the Tamer, breaking part of his armor off. Together, S and Josh, destroys the Tamers armor, one by one. As the face was exposed, they deliver the final blow, crushing the Tamer's skull and ribs with their bare hands, and falls dead.

  Shinju and Aoi, cutting their enemies down to size, and Shinju points at the door and says "This is where Anna-chan is at! We must move, now!" Aoi nods in agreement and they go in, with weapons drawn, ready to fight whatever is inside. Aoi heads in killing the first soldier she sees. She stabs him in the side and cuts across his stomach and spills his intestines. Shinju sees another opening a door as he aims for Aoi, then quickly stops him by stabbing the soldier with her sword and kicks him away.

  Rubik and Jacki makes their way to go and get the prisoners out, when out of the corner of their eye they see the soldier dragging Lily away. "Lily!" shouted Rubik as he and Jacki goes to get her away from the man. Immediately the soldier closes the door on them and locks it. Jacki tries to keep it from closing but they came up too late. "Bloody hell!" shouted Jacki. "Locked. That's just great. Now we need to go around, or find a way to open it." Rubik looks at the map and smiles. "Looks like we can go around," Rubik said. "Because it looks like our good ol' pal of ours is heading to a dead end, if he goes the wrong way" Jacki looks at the map with him "Looks like a short cut here!" she said, pointing at the map. "Let's make haste!" Rubik nods. "Roger that!" They run down the hallway to go and find Lily.

  Jurgen sat in his cell, anxious, wondering what they're gonna do to Lily. Then his thoughts were brought to a stop when he heard something outside his cell. He can see a guard, crawling away, bleeding out. Then, a gunshot to his head, ended him. Arlena, her gun's barrel still smoking, looks at the dead soldier and searches him. "Arlena?" Jurgen said. "Is that you?" Arlena looks up, with the keys in her hand. She slowly nods, "Yes, it's me." She opens the doors on all one side of the cells, and the prisoners runs out free. Jurgen gets out, and Arlena embraces him with a hug. "I'm so glad you're okay!" she said, purring. Jurgen smiles "I'm glad you came Arlena." The reunion was quickly halted when a grenade exploded outside. "Come on!" said Arlena, opening the other side of prison cells. "We need to get moving" The crowd of prisoners ran out and both Jurgen and Arlena joins them.

  Outside, Luis aiming his buster at the soldiers and freezing them solid. Then Julie, kicks the frozen soldiers, shattering them to pieces. Luis laughed "Hey, just like Sub Zero would do!" Julie looks at him, giggles at his comment. "Too true." A group starts to make their way towards Luis when they were all taken down by Dayna, from behind, stabbed one and shot the rest of them with a single bullet. "Don't get too distracted!" Dayna shouted. "Keep your focus!" Julie then fires a sharp needle at a soldier behind Dayna and hits him in the head. "I can say the same thing to you, lassie."

  The freed nekos, rushed out of the prison, slashing the soldiers with their claws and biting them as well. The morale of the soldiers went down, as the nekos went up, fighting to make their way to freedom. In the office, there the devil himself, Vincent Sands watches in horror as he sees the damage that has been done to his work. He gets up with a cane in his hand, quickly making his way to his chopper. "I want all personnel to keep those demons busy while I make my way out!" He demanded. "Sir!" salutes one of the soldiers, "Would you like to keep one prisoner?"  Vincent puts some thought into it, and finally gets an idea "Better, make them a hostage. Get them in the helicopter!"

  Aoi makes their way to the prison, it's quiet, but oddly cold. Shinju calls for Anna, hoping she responds. "Anna! Anna-chan! Are you in here?!" She started to worry if something happened to her. She can still hear nothing. But in the dark, a familiar, quiet, stuttering voice calls out. "I-I'm here.." Aoi looks and finds Anna curled up, along with 10 other prisoners that were bearers. They were shaken, but alive. Aoi breaks the prisons doors and the prisoners gets out free. Shinju gives Anna a blanket and they join in a group hug. "Th-thank you for saving me, you guys." She said, tearing up. "You're welcome." Aoi said. "But this can save for later. We gotta go!" They rush out of the cell, escaping with Anna.

  Both Jacki and Rubik searching for the man that took Lily, and then came across a two way split. "Rubik, ye take the left, I take right!" Jacki commanded and they both split. Rubik runs down the hallway and opens the door. There he caught a glimpse of Lily. "Vincent! You let her go, you son of a bitch!" Vincent looks back and orders his men to kill him. Rubik quickly throws his tomahawk at one guard, and shoots at another. "This is it, Vince, let her go!" Vincent quickly pulls out a revolver and shoots him in the leg. Rubik yells in pain. "RUBIK!" yells Lily as she watches in horror. Vincent looks down at Rubik as he walks in the chopper. "You don't get it, do you! You're so blind!" said Vincent. "Don't you see, you're stopping the one thing that will save this Earth? Don't you care about anyone, families, love one, children?! It's your job to protect and serve and you go against me! You're selfish! Just like your father! You're nothing but a splitting image of him!"

  Rubik looks at his wound, but then pulls out a pistol and aims at Vince. "You know nothing about Paul....so don't even try to put my name with him!!" He aims and shoots Vince in the side. As the bullet pierces his body, he reacts by holding his sides and letting Lily go. She runs to Rubik and picks him up. "Damn you Hopkins!" shouted Vincent, clutching his wound, climbing on the chopper. "You'll never understand the work I go through to save your sorry ass!" Rubik looks at him. "There are better ways, Vince! But this ain't one of them!" Vince gives him a glance. "You'll soon realize is what I do is save you, not kill you, you damn idiot. YOU'LL LEARN!" The chopper takes off as Vince makes his escape.

  "Rubik...are ye okay?" asked Lily.
  "Yeah...I taken many bullets like this." Rubik said chuckling. "I'll be fine." Lily gives him a look and kisses him. "Thank ye," she said smiling. "Don't thank me. Thank the others that helped." He stated. "Aye."

  They walk out of the doors, Rubik still limping, battle reaching to the end, as the soldiers flee from the battle, chased off by the prisoners. As the last soldier was killed, the nekos, anthros, and bearers threw their fist in the air, and yells in victory.

  "We're free!"
  "Not so tough now, are you Vincent!"
  "Take that Vincent!"
  "We've won!"

  Although Vince made his escape, his best prisons was brought down to shambles. The escapees and the fighters looks over at the destroyed prison and it crumbles and turns to dust. Rubik looks over at the prisoners, standing tall for everyone. "Excellent work everyone. We destroyed this hellish confinement. As for the prisoners. We've helped you and you fought for freedom. You can all head home now. Vincent no longer can control you." The prisoners looks at him, smiling as they leave to get back to their lives. "This battle has can show, who really is the villain. Only a coward would run from a fight, and abandon his troops for dead. We all fought was a team. The only person that's blind to all of this, is Vincent himself. He'll think he won...but he forgot he has a bullet hole in his abdomen. I want to say congratulations everyone. However, this ain't over yet. Once we kill Vincent, the O-5 will crumble, and we have to worry no more. I promise you that."
